My name is Nikhil George Punnoose, and I’m a Field Engineer at Schlumberger, an oil service company. This means I go to places where they are drilling for petroleum and put in my tools and tell our clients (since I am based in India this is primarily ONGC) whether they have found anything or not.*
*In a manner of speaking. In another manner of speaking, I am specifically prohibited from doing that. I give them logs of the area they have drilled from which they can infer whether they have anything, how much, what type, etc.
